Many people
believe life should be as they want it to be, not the way it
is. They refuse to accept reality.

Many people have a
fantasy that life should be fair. The reality is, life is not
fair.

Many people form beliefs and judgments that they label true.
They then refuse to seek knowledge or accept any information
that is counter to their beliefs.

It is not what
happens that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you
believe about what happens that causes you to be happy or
unhappy.

Many people’s
beliefs and actions show that being miserable is their
priority. They should make being happy their priority and

OK to be miserable.

something that must be learned. You did not receive any
training by your parents or in school on how to be happy.
Many people invest 20,000 hours from K through college, but
will not invest 1 hour to learn how to be happy. If you fail
to learn how to be happy, you will be unhappy.

Our body needs
food and so does our mind. If we feed our bodies rotten food,
we will be sick and could even die. However, many people feed
their mind the rotten food of fear, anxiety, worry, anger,
hatred, guilt, jealousy, shame, etc. It is no wonder that
they are depressed.

good condition, for very little. Most likely, you will not
learn to be happy by reading these books once. Read them,
reread them, highlight important passages, and make written
notes. When the principles explained in these books go into
your subconscious mind, you will be happy regardless of what
goes on in your life.
